Field set for inaugural Biltmore Championship Asheville

FedExCup Fall kicks off at The Cliffs at Walnut Grove, Sept. 17-20

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Biltmore Championship Asheville announced today the field for the inaugural playing of the newest PGA Tour event, which is set to be contested at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove from Sept. 17-20.

The 132-player field boasts 59 PGA Tour winners combining for 134 titles, highlighted by three players who sit inside the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking: 16-time PGA Tour winner Justin Thomas (No. 22), Clemson University alum Jacob Bridgeman (No. 28) and Western Carolina University alum J.T. Poston (No. 37).

Eight players in the field will also compete the following week at the 2026 Presidents Cup, contested at Medinah Country Club in Chicago from Sept. 24-27. The Biltmore Championship Asheville field consists of three players from the United States Team (Bridgeman, Thomas and Jackson Koivun) and five from the International Team (Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Corey Conners, Nico Echavarria, Ryo Hisatsune and Nick Taylor).

Koivun turned professional in June after three record-breaking seasons at Auburn University, where he became just the third player to earn PGA Tour membership through the PGA Tour University Accelerated program. In just the third start of Koivun’s professional career, the 21-year-old won the 2026 3M Open by three strokes over World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

As previously announced, four players accepted sponsor exemptions to compete in the Biltmore Championship Asheville, including 18-year-old University of Tennessee freshman Tyler Watts, Western Carolina senior Tyler Jones, University of North Carolina sophomore Carson Bertagnole, and Auburn University alum Brendan Valdes, who finished No. 2 in the PGA Tour University Class of 2025.
