Biltmore Championship Asheville Announces 2027 Dates and Community Grant Recipients
Sold out inaugural event helps drive investment in local community
ASHEVILLE, NC — Tournament officials today announced that the Biltmore Championship Asheville will return to Western North Carolina Sept. 30-Oct. 3, 2027.
The announcement follows a successful inaugural event that welcomed thousands of fans to Asheville and saw tickets sell out for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Building on the success of its first year, the tournament announced $10,000 grants to local nonprofits Echoes of the Forest and RiverLink through its inaugural Community Grant Program. The funding will support community projects focused on public spaces, environmental stewardship and quality of life across the Asheville region.
"Our inaugural year showed what's possible when a community embraces an event like this," said Nate Goldsnider, Executive Director of the Biltmore Championship Asheville. "We're excited to return Sept. 30-Oct. 3, 2027, and build on the momentum from a successful first year. As the tournament continues to grow, we're equally excited about the opportunity to support local organizations and invest in projects that help strengthen our community."
Echoes of the Forest received a $10,000 grant to support the creation of two artistic entrance archways for Gateway Park, a new bike and pedestrian park along Riverside Drive. Created by local artisans Mark Joseph Oliver and Jacqueline Oliver of Foundation Woodworks, the structures will be built from Hurricane Helene-salvaged wood, concrete and steel.
RiverLink received a $10,000 grant to support its rain barrel initiative, which helps residents harvest rainwater, reduce stormwater runoff and improve water quality throughout the French Broad River watershed. Funding from the Biltmore Championship Asheville will help expand access to the program, particularly in communities impacted by Hurricane Helene.
