Participating in Birdies for Charity means your organization receives 100% of donations received—provided you're a verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit (documentation required) and located in Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson and Madison counties. And that’s not all: a $50,000 bonus pool will be allocated to the participating charities based on fundraising efforts.
Key dates to know:
- June 10, 2026: Nonprofit registration opens
- June 24, 2026: Donor participation begins
- August 19, 2026: Top Four Fundraising Organizations selected as “Charity of the Day”
- August 28, 2026: Nonprofit registration closes
- September 16, 2026: Participating nonprofits record and submit all donations by 5:00 PM

How to Get Started
Step 1: Register Your Charity
Charity registration opens June 10, 2026 and closes August 28, 2026. Make sure your organization is ready to enroll!
Step 2: Gather Your Tools
Once your organization is approved for participation, our Birdies for Charity toolkit will be sent your way. Be sure to customize the resources for your organization.
Step 3: Build Your Marketing Plan
Create a strategy to support and collect donations. The more creative and visible, the better!
Step 4: Launch Your Fundraising Campaign
Start spreading the word! On June 24, your Birdies for Charity page will go live to begin collecting donations. Include Birdies for Charity in all your outreach materials, social media pages and websites.
Step 5: Solicit Donations Online or via Manual Donation Forms
To qualify for the contest prize, nonprofits must submit all online donations and offline donations by 5:00 PM on September 16, 2026.
Step 6: Receive Your Funds
Funds will be distributed via ACH following the Biltmore Championship Asheville 2026 — your hard work pays off!
